Welcome to Marblehead Girls Youth Lacrosse!

Whether you’re picking up a stick for the very first time or gearing up for competitive league play, you’re in the right place. Our players are members of the Marblehead Girls Youth Lacrosse community from the moment they step on the field as a Pixie.We’re proud members of the Massachusetts Youth Lacrosse (MYL) league and offer programs for girls in grades 1–8. Learn the game, build skills, and have fun with friends—then take it to the next level when you’re ready!

We will hold indoor, pre-season practices on Monday 3/30, Thursday 4/2, Monday 4/6, Thursday 4/9 in the Village gym. Specific times by age group tbd from coaches. 

Regular season practices are as follows: 

• Grades 1/2: Mondays @ Village from 5-6pm, Fridays @ Village from 4-5pm
• Grades 3/4: Mondays @ Village from 6-7pm, and one other practice (tbd)
• Grades 5/6: Wednesdays and Thursdays from 5-6pm @ Village
• Grades 7/8: Wednesdays and Thursdays from 6-7pm @ Village
• Select (5/6 & 7/8): Mondays, 6:15–7:30pm @ Piper. (They’ll share the turf.)

Many of our lax families have gear players have outgrown but that has plenty of life left. Our used gear swap is a simple way to make lacrosse more accessible while reinforcing the community spirit of our program.

To participate: From March 8-14, drop off gently used equipment in the donation box outside of 30 Bubier Road. Then come browse the donation table at the kickoff event! Items should be clean and in usable condition. Please do not donate broken or unsafe equipment. We are looking for: 

• Equipment: Sticks, goggles, cleats, pinnies / reversible jerseys
• Bags: Backpacks, Stick bags
• Accessories: Unopened / unused mouthguards, balls, stick heads / shafts
• Apparel: MGYL apparel, gloves
